As a result of current and past industrial activities,soil pollution is a serious problem across the globe.The SOILREM 2008 Conference is an opportunity for industry,regulators,scientists.students,engineers,private and public sectors to present recent research findings and exchange information on innovative developments relating to the risk assessment and remediation of polluted soils.

This SOILREM 2008 follows the very successful SOILREM 2004 and SOILREM 2000 conference held in Nanjing and Hangzhou,respectively.
